Emiquon Preserve WSP was responsible for design/master planning team for an award-winning, 3,000 acre nature preserve along the Illinois River featuring a 2-mile braided road system as well as seven miles of trails, wildlife observatories, and interpretive signage.

Featured the creation of more than 10 acres of wetland using native Illinois River wetland plant material.

JSI State Park WSP developed a master, interpretive, and architectural plan for the $105M reconstruction of this 2,000-acre State

Park, including a 10,500 SF Visitor’s Center, pavilions, boardwalks, and trailheads. The project received awards from the National Association of Recreation Resource Planners and the American Society of Landscape Architects. Our services included landscape architecture, site stabilization, and facility condition assessments.
