Geotechnical and Materials SOQ

Quality Control Testing Specifications are enforced through quality control in construction. WSP’s method of systematic testing of construction materials is how the architect, engineer, and owner can be sure that materials being used by the contractor are of the quality specified. This assurance directly affects the success of a project from the standpoint of life service, safety, budget and schedule. Construction Monitoring and Quality Control Inspection WSP engineers supervise and control testing services, provide recommendations based on reliable data, and monitor the implementation of recommendations throughout the construction process. Materials Engineering and Testing

Materials engineers develop specifications and quality control programs, assist in the selection of the most suitable materials, and monitor material quality and construction performance for compliance with specifications. WSP’s professionals develop testing programs to speed the construction process through on-site and laboratory services specific for the project. Geotechnical Engineering Our geotechnical engineers and earth scientists are specialists in soils engineering, hydrology, geology, geophysics, seismology, and rock mechanics. Through exploratory techniques, we determine the behavior of soil, rock, and water as affected by natural phenomena and construction activities. Drilling and Subsurface Testing/Exploration WSP provides drilling support to construction projects. Our equipment includes downhole in-situ testing devices such as pressuremeters, dilatometers, and cone penetrometers.
