Wind WSP objectively assesses potential investments and provides a full range of technical and consulting services in planning and executing wind energy projects. Our services include identification of prospective wind farm sites, resource assessment and micrositing of wind power stations in high-wind-speed environments; wind power assessment studies and grid impact studies; electrical interconnection studies; detailed design of complete balance of plant systems; and environmental and permitting support. WSP provides the expert support developers need to meet the challenges involved including accurately assessing energy yield; navigating the complex permitting and approvals process; meeting distinctive design and construction requirements; implementing the technologies needed to install and operate offshore generation systems and maintain stable grid interconnection; and managing costs. We support clients by applying our core capabilities in geotechnical, civil and structural engineering; renewable generation, transmission and distribution system design; wind resource assessment; and equipment and process quality assurance. A set of scales tips heavily towards one side with traditional energy sources like oil and gas, while the other side holds renewable resources like wind and solar energy.
