GFL-Solid Waste Engineering Services SOQ
Relevant Experience
WSP provides GFL with program management services for routine groundwater, surface water, and/or leachate sampling and reporting for six permitted North Carolina facilities, including two active MSW landfills, one closed MSW landfill and three active C&D landfills. In addition, we provide the same services for four active C&D landfills in South Carolina; two active MSW landfills in Georgia; one active and one closed C&D landfill in Georgia; and two active MSW landfills, one industrial landfill and one C&D landfill in Tennessee. Recently, WSP began providing groundwater program management services at an active MSW landfill in Michigan and another in Colorado as GFL continues to grow. Routine groundwater compliance reports include
data review, statistical analysis of data, groundwater contour maps, and flow rate calculations, and other electronic deliverables required by each state. Compliance reports are generated semi-annually to meet stringent permit and regulatory deadlines, typically 60 days from the date of sampling for groundwater and 7 to 14 days for methane, while maintaining fixed fee budgets. WSP manages the methane compliance programs for 12 of these facilities and has provided consulting related to maintaining compliance for methane at some of these facilities as issues arise. At the outset of program management, WSP initiated improved sampling techniques for the facilities to reduce turbidity and achieve compliance.
