Environmental Services
Our hydrogeologists apply scientific knowledge and analysis to understand groundwater-related issues, including assessing the quantity, quality and availability of groundwater.
Key Hydrogeological Services Desk Studies - collating and interpreting information on groundwater resources, pollution risks, dewatering requirements and other factors. Site Investigations and Monitoring - field investigations such as borehole drilling, permeability tests and long term groundwater monitoring; and planning and implementing investigations in a wide range of hydrogeological conditions. Hydrogeological Risk Assessments - assessing the impact on groundwater resulting using risk-based tools. WSP has developed several groundwater risk modeling tools for regulatory applications. Groundwater Modeling - conceptual and numerical groundwater modeling both in porous and fractured media, using software such as FracMan, MODFLOW and FEFLOW.
Groundwater Control - investigating, designing and implementing cost-effective dewatering and groundwater control measures. Groundwater Remediation - assessing groundwater that has been contaminated by pollution incidents and industrial activities with the most up-to-date and effective remediation technologies available, and we can carry out the complete remediation process from beginning to end. Environmental Impact Assessment - licensing and permitting by regulatory authorities and requirements from funders to demonstrate a neutral impact on the environment. Environmental Permitting and Licensing - obtaining consents and ensuring compliance for potential impact existing groundwater conditions.
