Delta County Solid Waste Delta Solid Waste Management Authority | Escanaba, Michigan Work at the site began with development of a conceptual plan and cost estimate to address groundwater impact and excess leachate to allow relicensing of the landfill. It was necessary to complete an investigation and develop an approvable conceptual design to address these problems in 45 days to prevent the state from forcing closure of the facility. Upon regulatory approval, our staff worked closely with the client, state regulatory agency and our client’s legal counsel to negotiate a consent order and schedule. Our team continues to provide engineering services and has completed several projects in addition to the initial site construction.

Strategic Solid Waste Management Plan Brown, Outagamie and Winnedbago Counties | Northeast Wisconsin

Brown, Outagamie, and Winnebago Counties are part of a three county agreement known as BOW set up to share waste management infrastructure and lower operating costs. BOW also constructed and operates a single stream MRF. WSP was contracted to create a Strategic Solid Waste Management Plan that will develop short- and long-term goals for the BOW waste system. This plan will evaluate existing operations as well as plan for future conversion technologies for organics management and recovery of additional materials to reduce landfilling.
